In the 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she wrote about the experience. Her friend Angela was killed in a car accident at age 15. Mitchell found this incredibly difficult and Angela was the source of inspiration for the song Angel that is featured on her debut album. Mitchell also wrote about her experiences in her novel Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul and in the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
